Marking codes or graphics onto synthetic materials and Carbides during or after manufacture can be crucial for tracking, branding and general inventory control.This is where our laser marking system is a must, offering significant gains over alternative methods. Because there can be risk of damage from scratches, it is important that controlled marking and a shallow marking depth occurs. Both YAG and Fibre based laser systems are suitable for this application, but we prefer Fibre for their accuracy and longevity.

Laser marking require no contact, and fibre systems are far more environmentally friendly.

ETCHING METAL

The speed, accuracy, flexability and quality of the finished product coupled with the seriously intuitive software, will significantly reduce process time with a much better end result over conventional etching or engraving systems. Laser etching metal parts, tools and similar is comfortably the most effective method, as it does not damage the material and provides consistent results.

Our  lasers are the most effective on metals such as steel, stainless steel, gold, aluminium, brass, titanium & more. This is due to the surface being heated very quickly to create the colour change and as the temperature never reaches vaporisation point, no material is removed in the process. This can aid bacterial control if used for medical equipment

 Our fibre based laser marking systems come into their own when engraving painted, coated or anodised metals from aluminium to titanium.

There are a multitude of anodised finishes commercially available, which in turn means that there a diverse range of different mark effects that can be achieved, from dark marking to colour bleaching. With our fibre laser system, we can achieve even the finest detail, consistently and reliably.

PCB ETCHING.

Etching codes & marks on printed circuit boards (PCB’s) and components during manufacture is crucial  for tracking and general inventory control.

This is where PCB laser marking systems can offer significant gains over conventional chemical etching,  ink-jet marking and screen-printing. when laser etching PCB ‘s no contact is required, it is far more environmentally friendly and utilises no consumables.

PLASTIC.

Our laser marking systems can be used on a wide range of plastics, when you need to mark your materials the laser route is the fastest simplest route to take.

The flexibility and speed of our laser engraving systems gives us the ability to accurately laser etch plastic, an essential industry standard when marking backlit switches, and fascia’s or control panels. Most commercially used plastics can be engraved leaving a highly durable, forgery-proof, quality mark.

We have found fibre laser systems to be the most effective for marking plastics, due to their flexibility and accuracy. They can also comfortably stand up to the most demanding industrial applications with consistent results.
